Summary:

Would guarantee all Arizona workers a minimum of one hour of paid sick and safe leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 72 hours in one calendar year.

The leave may be used to care for a child, spouse or domestic partner, grandchild, parent, sibling or "any other individual related by blood or affinity."

The sick and safe leave may be used to seek medical attention needed as a result of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking.

This bill died at the end of the 2013 session.
